So, I'm a little late in sharing my story. Sadly, the chaos of the Christmas season swept me away and by the time that I had a free second, I was nowhere near an internet connection. However, I wanted to post as I had a wonderful experience getting to be on the giving side of the JoyStory project. I was one of those chosen to give away a $25 Target gift card this year. Even before I was asked to participate in such a way (in fact, even before I knew Hope Chapel was doing the gift card thing) I had a dream. In this dream I was standing in line at Target, looking back at those behind me I saw the stress of the season and the strain of financial burdens on every face getting ready to check out. As soon as I woke up, I hoped to be in the situation over the coming weeks to be able to "pick up the tab" for some of those families and individuals by purchasing some gift cards and distributing them through the line randomly. This became a recurring dream... By the time I got chosen to give away a gift card, I was convinced that this was how God wanted things to go down.
